Carbulux ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application that displays current and historical fuel prices in Luxembourg. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Anonymous account identifier. When you first open the app, we automatically create an anonymous Firebase account for you. This generates a unique user identifier (UID) that is not linked to your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. You are never asked to register or log in.
Device token for push notifications. If you grant notification permissions, we store a push notification token on our servers so we can send you fuel price alerts. This token is associated with your anonymous UID only.
Usage analytics. We collect anonymised in-app events (e.g. screen views, alert creation, language changes) through Firebase Analytics. These events include your anonymous UID and general device information (operating system, app version). No precise location data is collected.
Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects crash logs and associated device information (device model, OS version, app state at the time of crash) to help us fix bugs. Crash reports are linked to your anonymous UID.
Purchase information. If you make an in-app purchase, RevenueCat processes the transaction and associates it with your anonymous UID. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple App Store or Google Play billing terms apply.
Notification preferences. Your choices about which fuel types to receive alerts for, and your preferred alert thresholds, are stored on our servers linked to your anonymous UID.
We do not sell your data. We share information only with the following service providers, strictly for the purposes described above:

Anonymous account data and associated preferences are retained for as long as the app is in use. Crash logs are retained for 90 days by Firebase Crashlytics. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months as per Firebase default settings. If you request deletion (see Section 6), we will delete your data within 30 days.
Carbulux is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted communications (HTTPS) between the app and our servers, and access controls on our backend systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will provide notice within the app.
